The Code of Ethics
The REALTOR® Code of Ethics ensures that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients' best interests. Read the full Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and access related resources and training.
NAR Ethics Requirement
NAR's Board of Directors approved a change to the Code of Ethics training requirement, extending it from every two years to every three years. This extends the current cycle deadline from Dec. 31, 2020, to Dec. 31, 2021.

Exemption: REALTOR® Emeritus Status
A REALTOR® Member who has held membership in the National Association as a REALTOR®, REALTOR-ASSOCIATE®, or both, for a cumulative period of forty (40) years, is eligible for REALTOR® Emeritus status. Applications will reopen in January 2021.
