Gov and other featured speakers at the event will share the latest, up-to-date information that you need to know to effectively operate your business. Our speakers will also cover recent changes to C.A.R. forms, including new releases, revised and discontinued forms.

GLAR's government affairs team will also cover upcoming ballot initiatives and local issues that may impact the real estate industry in Beverly Hills, Culver City, Los Angeles, Santa Monica & West Hollywood.

Gov Hutchinson is Assistant General Counsel of the California Association of REALTORS®. Gov has been with C.A.R. since 1985 and manages C.A.R.'s Member Legal Services Program in Los Angeles. Gov advises REALTORS® through the "Hotline" on all aspects of real estate law and he trains and supervises other "Hotline" attorneys.

Charlie Oppler, a REALTOR® from Franklin Lakes, N.J., is the 2021 President of the National Association of REALTORS®. He has been a REALTOR® since 1981. 

Charlie has served on NAR’s Board of Directors numerous times beginning in 2003. He has chaired the REALTOR® Party Coordinating Committee and the RPAC Trustees Committee. Charlie has served on four of NAR's Presidential Advisory Groups. In 2005, he was NAR’s Vice President for Region 2 (New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania), and in 2015, he was NAR Vice President for Chris Polychron.

Katie Johnson is the General Counsel and Chief Member Experience Officer, National Association of REALTORS®, the nation’s largest trade association representing more than 1.5 million members involved in all aspects of the real estate industry.

As the daughter of two REALTORS®, Katie takes great pride in her role at NAR. As General Counsel, she is responsible for assuring that the programs, policies and activities of NAR are in compliance with the law. As NAR’s Chief Member Experience Officer, she leads initiatives to enhance member engagement and satisfaction through delivery of relevant resources and experiences for our commercial, global, association leadership, professional standards, and MLS stakeholders.
